Use of Proceeds
We expect to use the net proceeds from the sale of the Notes for
general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures relating to
the installation of pollution control equipment. Pending this use, such
proceeds may be loaned to other subsidiaries of PPL Corporation for
working capital purposes or invested in short-term investments.

Our senior unsecured debt is currently rated BBB by Standard & Poor's
Ratings Services, Baa2 by Moody's Investors Service, Inc. and BBB+
